This privacy policy explains how Lemon Export (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit lemonexport.com or contact us. We are a lemon and citrus trading business based in Mersin, Türkiye. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

2. What data we collect
- Quote request form: your name, e-mail address, WhatsApp number, country, product and order details (variety, quantity, packaging, port, delivery terms, dates) and any message you write.
- WhatsApp, e-mail, phone and SMS: the contact details and messages you send us.
- Website usage data: technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see section 5).
3. Why we use your data
- To answer your enquiries and prepare price offers (pre-contractual steps at your request).
- To carry out and follow up orders, shipments and related documents (performance of a contract).
- To keep business records required by law (legal obligation).
- To improve our website and understand which markets are interested in our products (legitimate interest).
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
4. AI-assisted communication
We use AI-supported tools to translate and help answer messages and calls in many languages. Messages you send us may be processed by these tools for this purpose only. A member of our team remains responsible for every business decision and offer.
5. Cookies and third-party services
- Google Analytics / Google Site Kit (Google LLC) — anonymous visitor statistics.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — when you click a WhatsApp button, you leave our site and WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies.
- YouTube (Google LLC) — embedded videos may set cookies when played.
- Hosting and security — our website is hosted by GoDaddy and protected by Cloudflare, which process technical data to deliver the site securely.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features of the site may then not work as intended.
6. Sharing your data
We share your data only when necessary to answer you or to fulfil an order — for example with growers, packing houses, freight forwarders, customs brokers, banks (for letters of credit) and inspection companies — and with the service providers listed above. Some of these may be located outside Türkiye or the EU; in such cases we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
7. How long we keep your data
Enquiries that do not lead to business are deleted within 2 years. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as required by Turkish commercial and tax law (generally 10 years).
8. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to withdraw your consent. Write to lemon@lemonexport.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Türkiye: KVKK — Personal Data Protection Authority).
